Every new moon night, a girl as strong as the lioness, as delicate as the snowdrop makes her way up the hill she knows so well. Here she sings, the song of the stars drawing patterns with her fingers across the deep blue skies. The stars feeling her love and presence gently open up to her. Filled with their light, the Starlight Keeper makes her way down the hill, into the town. There is work to be done. There are people, space and places that need her and her  and her heart’s Starlight!

HOW TO USE THIS STORY?
Teachers, parents and adults may read aloud this story to children. Alternatively, it may be given to the children to read themselves depending on their abilities.

Please feel free to use the story creatively along with art, music, puppets etc., as you are inspired, albeit, without changing or distorting the purity of intent.

Please note: The story also has two songs which I will put up on the Music section of the website. They can be sung while narrating the story itself. 

HOW THIS STORY CAME TO BE?
One Monday evening, (in April’ 24) Rhea, a child of 5 asked me for a story about golden stars. I wondered if I could make one. The idea lingered in me for many days and suddenly at the end of the same week, I saw this image of the Starlight Keeper in my mind’s eye and the story was born!

So, I am grateful to this wonderful child has been inspiring me since many months. To me, she is like the Starlight Keeper pouring her heart’s starlight on me!
