The Rose loves. She loves the beings of the garden, her true friends. The melody of sweetness, love and harmony is all around as the jewel within her heart shines brightly. However, one day a snake arrives. Innocently, she welcomes him. Soon, he begins to poison her with thoughts of division, ill-will and disharmony.
This story of the Rose and the Snake is symbolic of a great struggle happening within and around us at this moment in time. The snake represents the force (often referred to as evil by religions) that has entered our minds and emotions, acting through us – sometimes stealthily and sometimes overtly preventing goodness and beauty to flourish on Earth. The hallmark of its presence is thoughts of division, suspicion and fear which manifest at a micro level as discord/misunderstandings in loving relationships/friendships/partnerships and on a macro level as wars between nations! The Rose, in turn represents our heart whose fragrance and light has been stolen and dimmed by the poison of the snake.
However, just like the Rose who through a small nudge from her friend, the Fox, rediscovers the light of her heart, and her fragrance, forcing the snake to leave, we too are in the process of opening to the love within our hearts and expelling this force of division from Earth.
FOR WHOM?
The story is for children (age 7+) and adults.
