Classes
To awaken the inner light of the child from which all of creation issues forth is what I strive to do at Golden Butterfly be it through the stories, poems or music. My interactions with the children also carry the same intention.
For younger children (ages 3 to 9), I mainly offer storytelling and painting sessions wherein I create a space within which a child can paint, draw, colour without without being told what is right, wht is wrong, what is beautiful, what is ugly. The aim is to allow for a spontaneous expression to come forth without the judgements of the mind coming in the way . Some art sessions are guided, some are a free play centering around a story and accompanied by songs. Many a times, the story and art develops spontaneously as a response to the child’s need in that moment.
For older children (ages 9+) , apart from storytelling and painting, I guide them into writing and expressing their inner worlds through prose, poetry and stories.
