River of Gold

A few weeks ago (Sep’ 24), a friend spoke to me about the importance of grounding. As I practised it, I was inspired to write a small poem. Over the next couple of days, I painted a few images for the poem on cloth, took some photos and animated them simply. The poem can help children experience a connection to Earth. Beneath layers and layers of grey,
Far below the Earth’s surface
Flows a River of Gold on a stony bed.
I take a deep breath.
I feel my feet grow roots,
Till they go deep down,
And touch this living truth.
And slowly, the Gold flows
Into my roots, and through my feet
Into my veins
I am nourished,
I feel whole
As I become one
With all those who
Are drinking this Gold.
